Who will you vote for in the 2016 Presidential elections?

Who can make a change in our country? This question is the main point why citizens vote for their leader. Every country has their own governmental, political, social and environmental issues. In our country, some of the problems we deal with are: corruption, poverty, over population and traffic. With those economic issues, we need a responsible and experienced leader who can bring change to the government.

Some of the presidential candidates are Vice-President Jejomar Binay, Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, Sen. Grace Poe, Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. Among the five candidates mentioned, Mayor Duterte and VP Binay are those who may be considered as experienced leaders. Davao City has the reputation of being one of the safest and most liveable cities in the country. Mayor Duterte has been its Mayor for 22 years. VP Binay had been the Mayor of Makati for 21 years. Makati City is considered the business capital of the country because of its being advanced and well-developed among other cities. After analyzing all the candidates for presidency, the rightful person to be voted for is VP Jejomar Binay.

Makati City is one of the most developed municipalities in our country. VP Binay had been part of Makati’s innovation because he had served the city for 21 years as a Mayor. Binay’s pride is that, the country needs a CEO-type leadership to improve our government system. The focus of the platform of Binay is to eradicate poverty which is the major problem of our nation. If the main problem will be given an appropriate solution, other issues would follow and be resolved. Vice President Binay is experienced because of being a mayor in Makati and making it an improved city. He is also responsible because no matter how many issues were put up against him, there is nothing that made him stop in his works. Instead, he continued to do everything he can as a public servant. As a newly registered and first-time voter, I don’t want my vote to be wasted so I spend some time to know more about our presidential candidates. If we want change, we need to start being wise because even a single vote can make a change. The campaign ad of Binay says “Ganito kami sa Makati” and I believe that if Binay can improve a municipality, he can also be an instrument to bring CHANGE and make the Philippines a better country.
